Privacy policy

The short version: we don't run a server that sees your email. Muzma reads Gmail on your phone, sends text only to the AI provider you choose, and keeps everything else on the device.

1. This website

This website collects nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no forms and no third-party scripts or fonts — everything is served from one place.

Like any web server, our hosting provider may briefly keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these logs to identify or profile you.

2. What the app accesses

With your permission, Muzma reads messages in the Gmail tabs you pick (Primary by default) using Google's read-only scope. It cannot send, delete, label or move mail.

We also store your Google account email so Settings can show which account is connected.

3. Where your data goes

Email text travels between exactly three places. There is no Muzma server in the middle, and we never receive your messages, summaries or API key.

The AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or a custom endpoint you set) processes the text under its own terms, using the key you supplied. Check their policy for how they handle API data.

4. What stays on your phone

Your AI key is kept in the phone's secure keychain. Briefing summaries, open reply reminders and your settings are stored in Muzma's local database on your phone. Full email bodies are never saved — only the summaries.

History is kept for as long as you choose in Settings: 7 days, 30 days, forever, or off. Notifications show counts only, never names or subjects.

5. Google API data

Muzma's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only to build your briefing, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or to train AI models.

6. Deleting your data

In Settings, "Disconnect & erase everything" revokes Gmail access with Google, deletes your AI key from the keychain and wipes all briefings, reminders and settings. Uninstalling the app removes local data too.

You can also revoke access at any time from your Google account's security settings.
